Unboxing
Other than the robot cleaner, accessories that are found in the box include two boundary strips, a remote control (two AAA batteries included), charging base, AC power adapter, cleaning tool, extra set of filters, four side brushes, five cable ties and a welcome guide.
The accessories are pretty standard and are found in most robot cleaners, so there is no surprise here. One thing I like is the additional set of side brushes. This is the part that will wear and tear the fastest, and I am glad that Eufy included a spare set in the box. Other companies will require you to buy the brushes separately.

Setting It Up
Setting it up is easy. First, mount the brushes to the underside of the robot. Next, insert batteries into the remote control. Turn on the switch at the bottom of the robot cleaner, and let it start up. After that you can get it to work with a press of the Power button at the top of the machine. Preferably, you should power up the charging base and place the robot on the base to charge first.
The dustbin is placed at the back side of the cleaner, and you have to press down on the latch to remove it.
The dustbin has a capacity of 0.6L, which is very much a standard size for most cleaners. For regular cleaning you probably need to clear the dustbin at least once a week.
To control the robot cleaner, you have to make use of the remote control. There isn’t any text or explanation on each button of the remote control, so you will have to guess the functionality of each button.
The “Fan” button on the remote control for controlling the suction power of the cleaner. The Robovac 30C comes with three levels of suction power. Though through its BoostIQ technology, it can automatically adjust the suction power when necessary, you can manually set the suction power so it uses more/less power to clean up your place.
Setting Up App Ssynchronization
Eufy provides an EufyHome app you can use to control the robot remotely. You can also use the app to schedule the robot to run at a certain time everyday.
Install the app from either the Play Store or App Store.
It will require you to set up a Eufy account. If you already have an account, just sign in.
Tap “Add Device.”
Select “Robotic vacuum.” It will prompt you for your Wi-Fi information as well as location access and then proceed to scan for a nearby robot cleaner. Once detected and paired, the robot cleaner will show up in the main screen.
Tap on it to remotely control the robot cleaner from your phone.
You can also set a weekly schedule for it.
Performance
The first thing I noticed when the cleaner was working was its low vacuum volume. Of all the robot cleaners I have used, this has the lowest volume (or noise, you may prefer to call it). Sometimes you won’t even notice that it is running, as it is barely audible in the other room. It is amazing for it to have a high 1500Pa suction power and still maintain a low noise level. Another thing I noticed is that its slim profile allows it to easily go under the bed or cupboard without any issue. During unboxing I could feel and see that it is light and slim, but only when I started using it did I realize how slim it is.
RoboVac 30C doesn’t make use of any mapping technology to clean the floor. It uses a random movement, which means it will go a straight line until it hits the wall (or other obstacle), then turn its direction and go in a straight line again until it hits another wall. There is no way to find out if it have cleaned the whole house. However, for a quick test, I sprinkled some tiny pieces of paper everywhere around the house, and at the end of the cleaning, all the paper was picked up by the cleaner. So it passed the cleaning test. The only exception was the paper (or dirt) placed at the extreme edge of the wall. The Robovac 30C has a collision sensor so it will stop within a few inches of an edge or object, which makes it ineffective at cleaning edges. One issue that I encountered is that after cleaning, there are times where it can’t find its way back to the charging dock. Due to its random movement, it will keep going around like a headless chicken trying to detect the location of the charging dock. When it runs out of battery, it will just die halfway in the doorway, waiting for you to carry it back. Also, it takes a far longer time (than other robot cleaners) to clean up the whole place. I don’t live in a large area, and it typically takes about forty-five minutes for most robot cleaners to clean up the place. For RoboVacs 30C, sometime it can take up to ninety minutes and still not finish its task.

Conclusion
One thing that I really like about RoboVac 30C is its extremely low noise level and low height profile. Its cleaning capability is on par with other robot cleaners, though the ability to go back to its base after cleaning needs to be improved.
